Marigold flowers are beautiful annuals, giving a variety of colors from various types. From the yellow to oragne brillance, the marigold has shared many uses for both in decorative floral and gardening arrangments to even medicinal.
They are an unusually "tough" plant and can flourish in mild to cooler temperatures, as long as adequate sunlight is given. Marigold is also known by the names Pot Marigold, Mary Bud, Calendula, Mary Gowles, Holigold, and Golds. As stated, they need a light soil and warm exposure, and are renewed every month even during the winters that are mild.
