Cape Marigold plants originated in various regions of South America. Over time many variations of hybrids have developed, creating a large group of imressive flowers. Most don't know this but the cape marigold is actually a daisy flower. Whether the flowers are grown in the wild or under production, many varieties of colors are available. Generally colors range from redish tones to white.
The cape marigold plant should be placed in soil that drains well. Additionally the soil should have a consistency of sand, and thrives in constant moderate temperatures.
