The daffodil is a group of perennial plants that produces a bulbed flowering bloom. Wild daffodils generally bloom in the early months of spring. The daffodil bulb is best highlighted by a large trumpeting form. Daffodil's that are grown outside grow best in large plantings of seeds.
A daffodil flower can survive up to a week in a water filled vase. When the daffodil is grown to perfection the flowering bloom appears with trumpet shaped corona in a star shape. The flower bulb of the daffodil sits at the end of a stalk about foot and 1/2 long.
